Partnership Parents

Simba's Day Nursery would like to work in partnership with Parents so that they can extend and further our knowledge of your child.
We strongly encourage an honest partnership with parents/carers in the nursery. We will link care in the home as closely as possible with care in the nursery. Parents are encouraged to discuss problems they encounter at home with the staff, so as to keep continuity in dealing with circumstances, which may include; potty training behavioural problems, eating habits etc.

All parents/carers are welcomed to phone us or to come in the nursery at any arranged time. The Manager has an open door policy and welcome parents/cares who may wish to discuss anything with her regarding the nursery or their child. Special parents meeting will be held on a regular basis, progress reports are given 3-4 monthly; this would be a good time for parents to talk to their child's key worker.

The nursery staff shall not judge or criticise parents /carers or their chosen lifestyle, and should not allow their own values to influence their attitudes towards the child or their family, should be respective to the views and ideas of the parents. Confidentiality is considered of high importance with regards to parent discussions or applications for a place. All parents/carers opinions are highly valued and any concerns are followed up, at the same time any concerns the nursery have concerning any child will be looked into as well.
